JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a candidate with exceptional customer service and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to navigate systems and technology with ease.

Responsible for providing administrative support for School of Nursing programs. These programs include: RN to BSN, BSN, MSN, and DNP. The Coordinator supports program operations by providing administrative support, managing departmental events and marketing materials, maintaining the School of Nursing online resources, and assisting with the prospective student selection process. This position reports directly to the School of Nursing Director of Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support for the Director of Operations, as well as faculty and staff
  • Assist with expense report processing as needed
  • Coordinate professional development opportunities for the department
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and conference schedules
  • Maintain department calendar
  • Maintain departmental data and information
  • Assist with the preparation of annual reports to various accrediting bodies
  • Assist with the selection process for prospective nursing candidates
  • Coordinate and host internal and external School of Nursing events, including prospective student visits and departmental events
  • Manage marketing materials
  • Maintain department online presence, including institutional, departmental, and public sites
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Google Suite proficiency
  • Previous event planning and public relations experience required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Minimum two years office experience in an administrative function required
  • Ability to complete tasks despite frequent interruptions and competing priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively and exercise maturity, good judgment, professionalism and tact in communicating with others
  • Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, neatness, and attention to detail
  • Understanding of and commitment to the spiritual mission of Point Loma Nazarene University

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Vision to read documents, email and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone. Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 10 lbs throughout the day.
