JOB SUMMARY
Host the Liberty Station Chapel, provide pastoral presence and oversee Media Production responsibilities for Liberty Station Chapel, and assistance to main campus Chapel and Worship Arts staff.The LSCC Chapel Host & Audio Visual Technician's work encompasses all aspects of the weekly liberty station chapels. The roll oversees setup of AV equipment and aesthetics, the planning of service order, the leading of worship through song, prayer, and transition moments, and also provides a warm and welcoming presence to students as they gather for chapel.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Media Production responsibilities:
- Audio Setup & tear down sound gear for the LS chapel.
- Run sound check and live audio for speakers at LS Chapel.
- Building of Pro Presenter for LS chapels
- Oversee the live-stream of various speakers from Brown Chapel.
- Unlock and lock AV closet before and after chapel services.
Host responsibilities:
- Provide a pastoral presence.
- Lead in worship through song, prayer, and scripture.
- Connect with and identify students to participate in various leadership of chapel including music, scripture readings, and prayer.
- Offer an opportunity for prayer/conversation in the 15 minutes after chapel
- Greet students as they enter LSCC
- Provide training, direction, and mentorship pastorally to the LS student intern.
- Connect weekly with Chapel Planning Committee for service planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- A strong affinity with and support of the spiritual mission of the university and its Nazarene traditions
- Proven ability to understand the context of a corporate worship environment.
- Proficiency with Pro Presenter and Planning Center online
- Experience and demonstrable gifts leading others in worship through music
- Strong people skills, with the ability and willingness to engage with a wide variety of students, staff, and faculty
- Organizational skills and ability to use independent judgment in prioritizing, producing, problem solving, and managing tasks
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills – Word, Excel, Outlook
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work involves both standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Vision to read documents, e-mail and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone. Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs throughout the day.
